Course Description
The course is divided into two sections.
Section A: An introduction to the fundamental principles, phenomena, devices and systems in photonics and optoelectronics.
Section B: Survey of Applications – Medical imaging, Optical imaging etc.
Course Objective
- Understand fundamental principles, phenomena, devices, and systems in photonics and optoelectronics.
- Gain knowledge of photonics and optoelectronics applications in biomedicine, specifically mentioning microscopy, spectroscopy, medical imaging, and super-resolution techniques.
- Gain hands-on experience in academic writing, which includes performing a literature survey, writing a scientific proposal, and participating in peer review.
